Leaving a legacy
Every legacy we receive supports our work, both on stage and behind the scenes. Every gift, no matter the size, makes it possible for us to create and stage new works, revive heritage favourites and support and nurture further generations of talented young performers and craftspeople.
We thank you for considering leaving a legacy gift to the Royal Opera House. To find out more please contact, in confidence, our legacy expert Marina Jones on +44 (0)20 7212 9369 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also download our brochure?‘A Lasting Legacy’?(PDF), which gives more information about leaving a gift in your will.
‘‘This has given me a great deal of happiness and pleasure and I am pleased to think I may go some small way to contributing to the future.’’ – Stephen Wischhusen
Did you know?
Every year gifts in wills directed to our Endowment Fund support:
In the 2019/20 Season gifts in wills supported ballet productions Concerto/Enigma Variations/Raymonda Act III, Coppélia and The Sleeping Beauty and opera productions Otello, Death in Venice and La bohème as well as the exciting new dance work Aisha and Abhaya in the Linbury Theatre. Gifts in wills are also supporting Chance to Dance, free nightly cast sheets and the work of the music library.
‘‘I’ve had lots of pleasure…and I felt it was time to give something back.’’ – Legacy pledger
We know that making or changing a will is not something you do every day, so here are some steps that you may like to consider:
Step 1: Think about what you’d like to support
Step 2: Decide what type of gift you want to leave
Step 3: Choose the method that suits you
We strongly recommend you visit a solicitor and seek legal advice when making or changing your will to ensure that your wishes are correctly recorded. All gifts in wills are invested by the Royal Opera House Endowment Fund (registered charity number 1089928) in perpetuity. If you are a solicitor and need to contact us regarding a bequest then please contact Marina Jones on +44 (0)20 7212 9369 or by email email@example.com.
Let us know about your gift
We know that choosing to support the Royal Opera House with a gift in your will is a very personal decision. There is no obligation to let us know about your intentions, but if you do let us know, we will be able to say thank you in your lifetime by inviting you to join the Baton Associates. Baton Associates are brought closer to our work through exclusive events and updates throughout the year.
You can fill in a?pledge form?(PDF) to let us know of your intentions.
Every act of generosity from those who make the decision to pass on ballet and opera to future generations we are truly grateful for; a gift that will ensure our passion for the arts lives on.
If you would like to speak to someone confidentially about leaving a legacy to the ROH, or to arrange a visit or backstage tour to talk about how such donations support our work both on stage and behind the scenes, please contact Marina Jones or telephone 020 7212 9369.
