Men's Hockey Remains Ranked, Drops to No. 13

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Neumann University Men's Ice Hockey team is No.13 in the latest USCHO.com poll, released Monday.

The Knights 12-6 have slipped down to No. 13 in the country.

The Knights have lost two ECAC West games last weekend to Manhattanville College. Neumann travelled to ECAC West opponent Manhattanville College for two games last weekend.

The Valients shut out the Knights 3-0 for the first time this season last Friday night and the Valients won the following night 5-3. The two losses are reflected in the Knights dropping in the rankings.

The Knights are off this weekend and resume play the following weekend at home Friday Feb. 3rd and Saturday the 4th against ECAC West rivals Hobert College.

Women's Hockey Completes Weekend Sweep

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team blanked Cortland State for the second straight game, 4-0, in ECAC West action Saturday afternoon.

Amanda Simpson had two goals and an assist. Nicole Alexopoulos notched a goal and an assist. Allie Frank made 19 saves in net for the shutout.

Alexopoulos put the Knights on the board 3:09 into the game. Simpson lit the lamp at the 8:51 mark for a 2-0 lead at the first intermission.

Simpson scored her second goal at the 11:38 mark of the second period. Edie Brenning tallied with 1:53 left in the second period for a 4-0 score.
Neumann improves to 4-9-2 overall and 3-7-2 in the conference. The Knights travel to Utica next weekend for a pair of ECAC West games.
